Burmese Python
Burmese Python: A large nonvenomous snake species native to Southeast Asia, known for its impressive size, typically reaching lengths of 12-18 feet. They have smooth, shiny scales with intricate patterns of dark brown blotches outlined in black along their bodies. Burmese pythons are excellent swimmers and proficient climbers, using their powerful bodies to constrict and suffocate prey before swallowing it whole. These snakes are popular in the pet trade but can become invasive in areas outside their native range.
