Breeding Programs
Breeding programs involve the controlled mating of organisms with desirable traits in order to produce offspring with those same desired characteristics. These programs are commonly used in agriculture, livestock, and conservation efforts to improve certain qualities such as yield, disease resistance, or genetic diversity. Through selective breeding, individuals with the best traits are chosen as parents to create a new generation that carries on those preferred traits.
