Brake Repair

Brake repair refers to the maintenance and repair of various components within a vehicle's braking system. This includes, but is not limited to, brake pads, rotors, drums, calipers, master cylinders, wheel cylinders, and brake lines. Brake pads are a crucial part of the brake system, as they press against the rotors or drums to create friction and slow down or stop the vehicle. Over time, brake pads wear down and need to be replaced. Rotors and drums can also become worn or damaged and may require resurfacing or replacement. Calipers are responsible for squeezing the brake pads against the rotors. They can become stuck or damaged, leading to reduced braking performance or complete brake failure. Master cylinders, wheel cylinders, and brake lines all play important roles in transmitting hydraulic pressure throughout the brake system. Leaks or damage to these components can result in a loss of brake fluid and decreased braking efficiency. Brake repair may involve inspecting and diagnosing issues with the brake system, replacing worn parts, resurfacing or replacing damaged components, and bleeding the brake lines to remove air bubbles and ensure proper hydraulic pressure. Regular maintenance and inspections can help prevent more serious and costly repairs down the line.
