Bottlenose Dolphin Diet

Bottlenose dolphins primarily feed on a variety of fish, such as mullet, mackerel, and herring. They also consume squid and crustaceans, including shrimp and crabs. Their diet is mainly composed of small to medium-sized marine species found in coastal and offshore waters. Dolphins use echolocation to locate their prey and work together to herd and catch fish. They are opportunistic feeders and will adjust their diet based on the availability of food in their environment.
