Black Hole Formation
The process by which a region of spacetime collapses under the force of gravity to form an extremely dense and compact structure known as a black hole. This occurs when a massive star reaches the end of its life cycle and no longer has enough energy to counteract the inward pull of gravity, causing it to implode and create a singularity at its core. The intense gravitational field of a black hole prevents anything, including light, from escaping its grasp, leading to the formation of an event horizon beyond which no information can be retrieved.
