Bayeux Tapestry
The Bayeux Tapestry is an embroidered cloth nearly 70 meters long and 50 centimeters tall, which depicts the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England in 1066. It is considered a masterpiece of medieval art and is housed in the town of Bayeux in Normandy, France. The tapestry is comprised of nine linen panels sewn together, with detailed scenes and Latin inscriptions depicting battles, coronations, and other historical events.
