Arctic Tern
The Arctic tern is a bird species known for its impressive annual migration, which takes it from its breeding grounds in the Arctic to its wintering grounds in the Antarctic and back again. With a sleek white body, a black cap, and long tail streamers, the Arctic tern is a graceful and agile flyer, capable of traveling thousands of miles each year. It is known for having the longest migration of any animal, covering roughly 44,000 miles round trip.
