Arctic Region
The Arctic Region refers to the northernmost part of the Earth, encompassing the Arctic Ocean and surrounding landmasses. Characterized by extreme cold temperatures, polar ice caps, and unique wildlife adapted to the harsh environment, the Arctic is home to indigenous peoples and serves as a critical ecosystem for a variety of plant and animal species. The region is also of strategic importance for global climate patterns and has been impacted by climate change, leading to concerns about melting ice caps and rising sea levels.
