Antarctica

Antarctica is the southernmost continent on Earth, located almost entirely within the Antarctic Circle. It is the fifth largest continent in terms of area, covering 14 million square kilometers. Antarctica is known for its extreme cold temperatures, with the lowest ever recorded being -89.2 degrees Celsius. The continent is largely covered by ice, with an average thickness of about 1.6 kilometers. Despite its harsh climate, Antarctica is home to a variety of wildlife, including penguins, seals, and seabirds.
