Antarctic Blue Whale

The Antarctic Blue Whale is a species of marine mammal belonging to the baleen whale suborder. It is the largest animal on Earth, with a long, streamlined body that is blue-gray in color with lighter markings on the underside. Antarctic Blue Whales have distinctive, broad, U-shaped heads and long, thin flippers. They are known for their haunting, low-frequency vocalizations, which can be heard over long distances underwater. Antarctic Blue Whales primarily feed on krill, using baleen plates in their mouths to filter the tiny crustaceans from the water. These majestic creatures can be found in the waters of the Southern Ocean surrounding Antarctica.
