American League Championships
The American League Championships refer to the annual series of playoff games in Major League Baseball that determine the champion of the American League. The teams with the best regular season records in the American League compete in a series of rounds, including the Division Series and the League Championship Series, to earn the right to represent the league in the World Series. The winner of the American League Championships is awarded the American League pennant and goes on to face the champion of the National League in the World Series.
