Algebra I

Algebra I is a fundamental course in high school mathematics, typically taken by ninth or tenth grade students. It builds upon concepts learned in middle school math, such as equations, functions, and graphs. In Algebra I, students learn to solve linear equations and inequalities, as well as systems of equations. They also study quadratic equations, polynomials, and factoring. The course often includes an introduction to exponents, radicals, and rational expressions. Additionally, students may learn about functions and their properties, including domain, range, and composition. Data analysis and probability are also sometimes covered in Algebra I. Throughout the course, problem-solving strategies and mathematical reasoning skills are emphasized.
