Airfoils
Airfoils are streamlined surfaces designed to produce lift when air flows over them. They are commonly used on aircraft wings, propeller blades, and turbine blades to generate aerodynamic forces. Airfoils have a characteristic shape that is optimized to create a pressure difference between the upper and lower surfaces, resulting in lift. Different airfoil shapes are used for specific applications, with variations in curvature, thickness, and camber to control aerodynamic performance.
