Ainu Folklore
Ainu folklore refers to the traditional beliefs, myths, legends, and stories of the Ainu people, an indigenous group native to the northern regions of Japan, particularly Hokkaido. These folklore tales often involve supernatural beings, nature spirits, and animals, and serve as a way to explain the origins of the Ainu people, their customs, and their relationship with the natural world. Many Ainu folklore stories are passed down orally from generation to generation and hold significant cultural and spiritual importance to the Ainu community.
