African Elephants and Asian Elephants are two distinct species of elephants belonging to the family Elephantidae. They have smaller ears, a more rounded back, and only some males have tusks. Both species are herbivores, with diets consisting mainly of grasses, fruits, and leaves. Both species are highly intelligent and social animals, living in groups led by a matriarch. Unfortunately, both African and Asian Elephants are facing threats such as habitat loss, poaching for their ivory tusks, and human-wildlife conflict, leading to declining populations in the wild.
